Thank you for your enquiry. We would be delighted to match you with one of our tutors!
Australian Tutoring Company offers premium individual coaching to ensure the best results for each student. Our tutors are professionals from a variety of backgrounds. Each has been selected for his/her unique talents and demonstrated passion for working with students and each has a valid Working With Children Check.
We provide on premises lessons at our school weekdays from 3:00pm – 8:00pm and Saturdays from 8:00am – 3:00pm. We provide in-home tuition depending on your location. We also provide holiday lessons in accordance with the tutors’ schedules. Our tutoring sessions are packaged in a term.
Parents/Students are updated via our online system, Teachworks, where lessons are scheduled in a user friendly calendar. Tutors post notes and lesson materials and homework is shared between the tutor and the family.
We would be happy to accommodate you with a tutor at a suitable time. If you can take a moment to fill out the Information Form on this page, we will then select a tutor who suits you best. Otherwise, you are welcome to contact us with any questions or concerns.
At Australian Tutoring Company, we always try to be flexible and accommodate the needs of our families. If you have any questions please just ask!
PAYMENTS
Australian Tutoring Company requests that all payment policies are followed in order for classes to run according to schedule and minimise disruption. All classes must be paid upfront at the beginning of each term. An invoice will be issued and finalised prior to the first class. There is no exemption of payment for absences, therefore ensuring your child’s place is held for the term. If your child begins classes in the middle of the term, the amount charged will be pro-rated of course!
For individual tuition, invoices for the term can be paid upfront or as discussed with the Tutoring Services Manager. Weekly payments will incur an extra charge of $5 per week. Please note that payments must be made PRIOR to the lessons otherwise they will be cancelled.
Our preferred payment method is straight from your electronic device. Once you receive your email invoice, just click the green “Pay Online” button in the bottom right hand corner and enter your payment information into the popup window that appears. You are welcome to also make payments via cash (on premises), EFTPOS (on premises or over the phone) or bank transfer as indicated on your invoice.
Lessons that are missed without 24 hours’ notice will be forfeited. Students will be allowed make-up lessons provided Australian Tutoring Company is notified of cancellation at least 24 hours before their scheduled class. We will help you find an alternative time that is suitable for you and your tutor. Make-up lessons must be held during the same term or the following holidays. Any make-up lessons not held by this time will be forfeited.
School Readiness Classes that are missed without 24 hours’ notice will also be forfeited. Since School Readiness Classes run on set weekly schedules, they can only be made up in the same week if the same class is running at any of our premises. Missed lessons will be forfeited, however we will send the lesson materials to you where available.
If your invoice for the term’s lessons are cancelled for any reason part way through the term by the student/parent, an administration fee of $90 will be charged to cover time to close out the account. Where it has been agreed that a credit can be carried forward into a new term, there will be no administration fee charged.
Please note that lessons which happen to fall on a public holiday will still be booked in. If you do not wish to have lessons on a public holiday, please contact us to organise a make-up lesson or make other arrangements.
Unfortunately, prepaid lessons cannot be refunded as commitments are made to tutors in advance.
All students are expected to arrive at the appointed time for each lesson as late arrival may result in loss of tuition time. Students should bring with them their completed homework and any books and/or materials that have been previously issued, as these will be used during the lesson. Each lesson shall be made up of supervised instruction with a minimum of 1 hour of homework to be completed prior to the next lesson. Teachers reserve the right to remove any student they believe to be behaving in a dangerous or disruptive manner.
When students attend on premises sessions, they can expect our focused and unique level of individual attention with an abundance of educational resources at their disposal including a variety of textbooks, electronic resources and teaching aides. When tutoring is in-home, tutors will utilise the student’s own resources as well as online resources to guide learning. If additional resources would enhance the learning experience, the tutor will advise the parent or student of their recommendations.
